Firmware Update Guide for Your Landroid

Keeping your Landroid up to date ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features. Here’s how to know when an update is available and the two options for updating: Over-the-Air (OTA) and Manual via USB.

How to Know When an Update is Available

1. Registered Account: Check the latest firmware version for your Landroid by logging into the Worx Account.

2. App Notification: Open the Firmware Update section in the app to see if a new firmware version is available.

3. Auto-Update: Devices with auto-update enabled will automatically update via the Firmware Update section when a new version is available.

Option 1: OTA (Over-the-Air) Updates 📲

Note: OTA (Over-the-Air) updates are sent through a Wi-Fi connection directly from the Landroid app.

If auto-update is disabled, you can manually send an update to your Landroid through the app. Here’s how:

1. Open the Firmware Update Section: Go to the Firmware Update section in the app. If an update is available, select it and send it to your Landroid.

2. Important: Perform the update while Landroid is docked in the charging base.

General Requirements for OTA Updates

• Wi-Fi Connection 📡: Ensure your Landroid is within Wi-Fi range and connected to a 2.4GHz network (Landroid does not support 5GHz networks). If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, temporarily disable the 5GHz network during setup to avoid interference, then re-enable it once the setup is complete.

  • Tip for Easier Setup 💡: Temporarily disconnect any Wi-Fi repeaters that use a 5GHz signal, as they can interfere with setup. Reconnect them after the update is complete.

• Landroid Docked in the Charging Station 🅿️: Park the Landroid in the charging station and confirm proper docking by checking for the house icon 🏠 on the LCD display.

• Battery Level 🔋: Ensure the battery is charged to at least 50%.

Option 2: Manual Update via USB 💻

For models that support manual USB updates or if you encounter connectivity issues, you can update your Landroid manually.

Steps to Download Firmware for USB Update

1. Log in to the Worx Account web panel.

   • If you haven’t registered for warranty, you’ll be prompted to do so.

2. Select your Landroid model, then download the latest firmware file to your computer by clicking Download.

USB Update Instructions

1. Copy the firmware file directly to an empty USB stick formatted in FAT32 (do not unzip or rename it).

2. Open the battery compartment on your Landroid to locate the USB port.

3. Turn off the Landroid.

4. Insert the USB stick into the USB port, then turn the Landroid back on.

5. The Landroid will start downloading the firmware. When it displays “Please remove the USB key,” remove the USB stick without lifting the robot.

6. The firmware update will continue, and the Landroid will restart once complete. You will then be prompted to enter the PIN.
