Landroid Vision Installation, Setup and Usage

Multi-Zone Setup with RFID tags

If You Have Multiple Lawns, Install the RFID Tags

1. Planning the RFID Installation for Multi-zone Use

If you have separate lawns, RFID tags can help the Landroid Vision navigate through passages or pathways to mow each lawn area. On its initial journey, the Landroid Vision will follow the lawn edge and detect all installed RFID tags to map out each zone. During subsequent scheduled operations, the mower will recognize the RFID tags and automatically move to the next zone to continue mowing.

Each Landroid Vision comes with two RFID tags. Install one RFID tag in each zone.

To ensure the RFID tags work properly, please verify the following:

  • There are no obstacles or large areas of bare grass within 1.5 m around each RFID, and the lawn edge in this area is straight.

  • Each zone is wider than 2 m.

  • The ground beneath each RFID tag is flat.

  • There are no wires or strong magnetic devices within 30 cm of the RFID tags to prevent signal interference.

  • The path between zones is shorter than 6 m, and any steps along this path are lower than 3 cm.

NOTE: If the supplied RFID tags are insufficient, you can purchase additional tags from our retail partners or online.

2. Installing the RFID Tags

The distance from the center of each RFID tag to the front and rear boundaries of the lawn must be greater than 1.5 m.

Use the provided measurement gauge to position the RFID tag so that its edge is 50–60 cm from the lawn edge, then secure it with two screws.

Install and secure the second RFID tag in the opposite zone using the same method.

The Landroid Vision can transition even between zones with curved boundaries.

  • Landroid Vision moves in a straight line. Ensure a clear path; otherwise, the transition may fail if it encounters boundary stones or obstacles.

3. Connecting RFID Tags to the App

To ensure Landroid Vision operates correctly across multiple zones, record the RFID information in the app. If your phone supports NFC, open the app and scan the RFID. You can create a passage to connect two separate zones. Once set, the mower will recognize the RFID and transition successfully.

  • Open the app and follow the step-by-step instructions in the images to enter the "Multi-zone" function page.

  • Tap to add a "Zone," then add a "Passage." The app will show the "Create Passages" function page.

  • Choose the zones you want to connect with a passage (e.g., Zone 1 and Zone 2), then tap "Next."

  • Follow the instructions in the app, tap "Scan," and hold your phone within 15 cm of the Zone 1 RFID to allow NFC to detect it.

  • After successfully scanning both RFIDs, tap "Save" to complete. Then, set the working schedule for the new zone in the app; otherwise, Landroid Vision will not operate in that zone.

If your smartphone does not support NFC and you wish to add a new working zone, use the "Lawn Explore" function in your mower’s settings.
