1. Plan the Charging Station Placement

The charging station, consisting of the charging station plate and charging tower, is where your Landroid Vision recharges its battery and rests between mowing sessions.

Consider the following points when selecting a location:

• Ensure the charging station is placed on flat ground to ensure a proper docking process for the Landroid Vision.

• Provide a 2 m straight path in front of the charging station along the lawn edge for the Landroid Vision to enter easily.

• Avoid areas with bare ground or sparse grass within the 2 m approach path, and make sure this path is not blocked by obstacles such as plants, flower pots, garden furniture, toys, or other objects.

• The charging station should be within 10 m of an AC mains power outlet, due to the maximum cable length of 10 m.

• If possible, place it in a shaded area to protect the battery and charger from overheating.

• Keep it away from irrigation sprinklers. Sprinklers can trigger the rain sensor, causing the mower to delay or skip mowing - especially with daily watering. IPX5 means the mower and the charging station resists water spray and weather conditions, but it’s not built for constant exposure to moisture.

2. Install the Charging Station

• Assemble and flatten the charging station plate, then securely tighten the connections.

• Insert the charging tower into the charging station plate. Ensure the QR code on the tower remains visible.

• The QR code must be clean and clearly visible at all times, as the Landroid Vision uses its camera to identify the charging station. If the QR code isn't visible, the mower may not dock properly.

2.1 Aligning the Charging Station

When the Landroid Vision completes mowing, it travels anti-clockwise along the lawn boundary to find the station. Position the charging station facing the direction from which the Landroid Vision approaches.

2.2 Positioning Options for the Charging Station

Option A: Charging Station at Lawn Corner

Ensure a minimum 2 m straight approach in front and position it 5-15 cm from the lawn boundary.

Option B: Charging Station on Lawn Side

Allow at least a 2 m straight path in front and place it 5-15 cm from the lawn boundary. Ensure at least 1.5 m clearance behind the station for mowing.

Option C: Charging Station Outside Lawn Corner

Position the station on an extension line, 5-15 cm from the lawn edge. Place the charging station close to the lawn boundary for easy entry.

2.3 Securing the Charging Station

Secure the charging station to the ground using the provided screws and hex key. If installing on a hard surface, use plugs and screws.

NOTE: A flat and hard surface is recommended for installation.

Charging Station Placement Checklist:

• Within reach of an AC mains outlet

• Shaded area (if possible)

• No obstacles or sparse grass areas within the 2 m straight approach

• Flat and level ground

• No nearby irrigation sprinklers

2.4 Charging the Landroid Vision

Connect the charging station to an AC mains outlet.

Dock the Landroid Vision firmly into the charging station, ensuring proper contact.

A slowly flashing green indicator on the charging tower means normal charging.

A red indicator means the mower is not charging properly.
