🧵 How to test the boundary wire with a test loop?

How to Check for a Broken Boundary Wire on Your Landroid

Is your Landroid showing "Wire Missing" or "Error: E1" even though the charging station's LED is green and both wire ends are correctly connected? This often indicates a damaged boundary wire, as the signal may be too weak for the Landroid to detect, even if the charging station recognizes it.

Inspect the boundary wire for damage and follow the troubleshooting steps.

Follow these steps

  1. Obtain a piece of boundary wire approximately three meters (10 feet) long.

  2. Strip both ends of the wire and insert them into the clamps on the charging station.

  3. Lay the boundary wire on the ground in a circular shape to create a test loop.

  4. Place your Landroid on the base inside the test loop and check if the error message persists.

  5. If the error message disappears, the problem lies with the existing boundary wire, and further inspection of the loop is required.

By following these steps, you can quickly determine if the boundary wire needs repair to ensure your Landroid operates correctly.
