🧵 How to locate a damaged spot in the boundary wire?

Locating and Fixing Boundary Wire Damages

Damages to the boundary wire can often cause issues with your Landroid's operation. Use the following methods to locate and fix the damaged areas effectively.

Method 1: Check Previous Repair Spots and Visible Areas

  • If you’ve conducted a wire repair in the past, start by inspecting those areas first.

  • Look for any unusual scratches, marks, or signs on the ground that may indicate a problem area.

  • Carefully inspect the wire to see if it’s broken or damaged. If you don’t find any issues, continue checking along the perimeter for other anomalies.

Method 2: Use a Loop Wire Break Detector

  • Purchase a loop wire break detector from a local electrical store or online.

  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to locate the break in the boundary wire effectively.

Method 3: Locate the Break with an AM Radio

  • Set a portable AM radio to about 700 kHz, avoiding any radio broadcasters.

  • Fully extend the antenna and point it towards the ground.

  • Move along the boundary wire; the interference noise will get louder as you approach the wire and quieter at the damaged spot.

By following these methods, you can efficiently locate and repair any damages to the boundary wire, ensuring your Landroid operates without interruption.
