Landroid Classic Installation, Setup and Usage

9. How to set up rain delay

How Does Rain Delay Work and How to Make the Best of It

Landroid is fully weatherproof, built to handle outdoor conditions. However, mowing wet grass may not yield optimal results, so Landroid is equipped with a rain sensor to detect rain and return the mower to its charging base until conditions improve.

How It Works

  • Rain Detection: When the rain sensor detects moisture, Landroid returns to the charging base. The Rain Delay begins once the sensor is no longer wet, with a default delay of 180 minutes (adjustable via the Landroid App or display). After the delay, Landroid resumes its schedule.

  • Manual Override: To resume mowing before the Rain Delay ends, turn the robot off and back on.

  • Adjusting for Heavy Rainfall: In areas with frequent rain, you may want to adjust the Rain Delay to allow mowing on wet grass if necessary.

  • Humidity Sensitivity: In very humid conditions, the rain sensor may activate even without rain. Adjust settings as needed to keep Landroid operational.

How to Set Rain Delay

Setting Rain Delay via App

  1. Access the Rain Delay function in the app menu.

  2. Adjust the delay time to suit your preferences.

Rain Sensor and ACS

  • ACS Module Interaction: When rain is detected, the ACS (Anti-Collision System) module automatically turns off to prevent heavy rain from being mistaken for an obstacle.
