Let your Landroid operate in multiple zones of your garden and assign different working times to each zone. Thanks to AIA’s intelligent navigation technology, the Landroid can handle complex lawns and narrow passages (minimum width 60 cm) effortlessly without additional guidance.
Zone Adjustment: You can assign a specific percentage of working time to each zone.
Weekly Mowing Cycles: The percentage refers to the total number of mowing cycles per week (e.g., 10 cycles).
Example: 70% assigned to Zone 1 and 30% to Zone 2 means 7 mowing cycles in Zone 1 and 3 in Zone 2 over a week.
Note: You can set up 2 to 4 zones; the Landroid will mow in numerical order, starting with Zone 1.
Mowing Cycle: The period during which the Landroid leaves the charging station and returns.
Model Dependent: The duration varies based on battery capacity and lawn size.
Zone Separation: Zones should be separated by a bottleneck with a corridor approximately 15 cm wide, preventing the Landroid from autonomously moving from one zone to another.
Boundary Wire Guide: The bottleneck helps the mower follow the boundary wire and stay within the intended zones.
Walkway Height: The walkway should be level with the lawn to avoid damage to the mower blade. If not, consider building a ramp for a smoother transition.
Avoiding Obstacles: Avoid gravel, stones, or uneven tiles. A 15 cm wide corridor helps guide the Landroid across the walkway without accidentally crossing zones.
Boundary Wire Placement: Place the wire in gaps between tiles or beneath a path (no deeper than 5 cm) to avoid signal interference.
Boundary Wire Connection: All zones must be connected to the charging station with the same boundary wire.
Closed Loops: The cable segments between zones should be laid side-by-side to form a continuous loop.
Multi-Zone Feature: The multi-zone feature may not be ideal for separated zones; manual repositioning or a second charging station in the second zone could be a solution.
The "Zone Keeper" feature is a powerful addition to Landroid's capabilities, designed to keep the mower within specific zones, even in complex layouts.
Width: The corridor should not exceed 60 cm.
Length: The corridor must be at least 1 meter long to allow the Landroid to make three contact attempts before returning to its designated zone.
Zone Retention: Zone Keeper prevents the Landroid from leaving its assigned zone, ensuring efficient and focused mowing. This is particularly useful in areas where smooth angles or complex layouts might otherwise cause the mower to stray.
Optimal Performance: Ensure that bottlenecks are correctly dimensioned. A bottleneck smaller than 15 cm x 15 cm may impair Zone Keeper’s effectiveness, making it essential to follow the recommended corridor and bottleneck sizes for the best results.
You should simply follow the app tutorial by selecting Multi-zone from the menu.
If your Wi-Fi network doesn't cover the whole lawn, measurements might not be precise to the centimeter, as Landroid will approximately calculate distances through wheel revolutions when Wi-Fi is missed.
In this case please allow some tolerance in the definition of zones' starting points.
Landroid is designed for mowing complex lawns evenly. Neverthless, sometimes you might need to set different zones of your garden (up to maximum of 4) and then you can adjust the working time in each zone.
Start with Landroid in its charging base.
Turn on Landroid and insert PIN code.
Press the → (D) key and select the clock icon, then press OK to confirm (You should now be in the working time menu).
Scroll down to the ‘Define zones’ option and press OK.
Select the number of zones you want and press OK (You can select up to 4 zones).
The display will prompt you to press START to set up the zone. (As soon as you press START, the mower will start to follow the wire).
Press STOP when Landroid reaches the area you want to mark as Zone 1.
Save your choice by selecting YES.
Press START to make Landroid reach the next zone, then press STOP when it reaches Zone 2.
Repeat the steps above if you need more zones to be defined
