The boundary wire defines the perimeter within which Landroid will mow. Follow these steps to install it correctly.
Once your charging base is secured, you can proceed with laying down the boundary wire.
Strip the end of the wire with scissors (fig. 1). Open the plastic door and insert the stripped end into the red left clamp of the base, depending on the model (fig. 2A-2B). Pass the wire through the guide of the base (fig. 2A-2B).
Use the supplied gauge to set the distance of the wire from the edge. If there is a step or gravel at the edge, keep the wire 26cm away (fig. 3). If there is no step, keep the wire 10cm from the edge (fig. 4).
If your lawn borders a neighbor’s lawn with a robotic mower, lay your wire 1m apart from your neighbor’s wire to avoid interference.
Place pegs approximately 80cm apart (fig. 5).
Ensure the wire is in close contact with the ground (fig. 6).
Protect flower beds, ponds, tree roots, and other areas by surrounding them with the boundary wire (fig. 7).
For more information, refer to the article on how to set up an island.
For 90° corners facing the lawn, use the Bertelsen ruler (fig. 8) to help Landroid make perfect turns and avoid obstacles at the lawn’s edge during this maneuver.
After laying the wire around the perimeter, return to the charging base.
Pass the wire through the guide in the base up to the clamp, depending on the model (fig. 9A-9B).
Cut the excess wire and strip the end with scissors.
Insert the stripped end into the black right clamp.
Connect the charging station to the AC mains socket (fig. 10).
If the setup is correct, the LED will light green. If there’s an issue, such as a broken wire or improperly clamped ends, the LED will turn red.

Open the rear of Landroid and insert the PowerShare battery until it clicks (fig. 11).
Place Landroid on the charger, ensuring proper contact with the base. The LED will turn solid red while charging.
Allow Landroid to charge for a while.
Landroid includes two small, waterproof boundary wire connectors. They can be used for the following:
Extending the boundary wire if your lawn has a long perimeter (maximum length: 350m).
Repairing a cut boundary wire.
Modifying the original boundary wire installation if you rework your garden in the future.
